Here are some fresh jQuery plugins and tutorials that were released recently. I will continue to release similar roundups on the subject of CSS3, jQuery, and WordPress. Check here for all the current Weekly Roundups.
jQuery-ahm is a super light-weight (1KB minified) replacement for $.ajax. It reduces ajax requests to one line and supports all jquery and custom callbacks in the back-end code.
jRumble is a jQuery plugin that rumbles, vibrates, shakes, and rotates any element you choose. It’s great to use as a hover effect or a way to direct attention to an element. You can control the X, Y, and rotation range, the speed, and event trigger for the rumble. It doesn’t work very well in Internet Explorer.
This jQuery plugin allows you to diagonally fade-in or fade-out a group of elements. All you have to do is import it, specify the container to which the group of items resides, and poof, you’re off and away.
Smart spin is a jQuery spin button plugin that mimics the very common windows spin button control. Smart spin allows you to select a value between minimum and maximum values using either mouse or keyboard. You can also enter a value via keyboard.
The purpose of Slider Kit is to gather common slideshow-like jQuery functionalities (such as news sliders, photos galleries/sliders, carousels, tabs menus) into one light and flexible plugin combined with ready-to-use CSS skins.
